This year&rsquo\;s festiva l\, which begins a new cycle\, promises to bring energy\, disquiet\, surpr ises\, and reunions.\n\nMore info\nfimp&rsquo\;23&rsquo\;s programme\, in its plurality\, articulates possible combinations between these concepts. The subjective experience of life happening in a world that is always in m otion has inspired the creation of some of the shows that will be presente d. Remembering and forgetting\, evoking and reconstructing\, updating &nda sh\; all of these are memory functions that operate based on the creation and manipulation of images. At this year&rsquo\;s festival\, it is also in the encounter of each one of us with History\, as a process of social and political transformation\, that we are questioned.\nIn this multiplicity of creative acts in which image and manipulation meet\, we will have films created in real time\, smoke and mirror illusions\, manipulation of sensi tive documents\, performative games based on individual and collective bio graphies\, stage machines\, digital and analogue puppets. At fimp&rsquo\;2 3 there will be shows (including many a world premiere)\, performances\, e xhibitions\, concerts\, meetings\, and celebrations. There will be much to discover\, much that will surprise us\, much to see and experience!\nfimp is a feast that always offers festival-goers something interesting to lea rn\, whether they are performing arts professionals or just curious. At th is year&rsquo\;s fimp\, the training strand is set to last well beyond the festival dates\, while allowing\, of course\, for the chance to meet some of the artists featured in the festival and to come into contact with the ir work.\nfimp'23 - Festival Internacional de Marionetas do Porto 2023 - f rom 6 - 15 October + 5 November\, will host seventeen shows by Portuguese and foreign companies\, a concert\, a short film\, three masterclasses\, f our WOPs - workshops\, two WIPs - Work in Progress\, two exhibitions and l ooooooots of Fimpalitos\, all of which will take place in twelve well-know n venues in the city of Porto.\nBut there's more!
