  a data surgiu nos Estados Unidos da Am&eacute\;rica\, como Play in the Sa
 nd Day\, mas rapidamente foi adotada noutros pa&iacute\;ses do mundo. Nest
 e dia realizam-se concursos de constru&ccedil\;&otilde\;es na areia nas pr
 aias do mundo\, entre outras iniciativas relacionadas com a areia da praia
 . #PlayintheSandDay\n\n\nSeeking to make people aware of the Library&rsquo
 \;s collection on the Play in the Sand Day (11 August)\, during the month 
 of August the Library&rsquo\;s hall hosts the exhibition &ldquo\;Literatur
 e on&hellip\; Sand: Playing in the Sand is for Everyone!&rdquo\; as part o
 f the Series of Themed Documental Exhibitions.\nFree admission\n\nPlay in 
 the Sand Day (11 August)\nThe Play in the Sand Day was first celebrated in
  the United States of America\, but it soon spread to other countries in t
 he world. The Day usually counts with sandcastle building competitions\, a
