Born in Angola and raised in Portugal, Melo D was part of one of the first national hip-hop bands, The Family, ventured into acid jazz with Cool Hipnoise and released four solo albums. He also recorded a long list of collaborations with musicians from the most diverse genres. He is an unmistakable voice of soul and hip-hop made in Portugal.
