 ada and Mouriscada)\n\nDescription\nEvery year\, on St John's Day\, Sobrad
 o revives an unusual tradition with a big masquerade. It’s called the 
 “Bugiada” and “Mouriscada” Festival\, based on a legend and taking
  us back to the time when the Moors occupied the area. Between dances\, ri
 tuals and various enthusiastic performances\, the “Bugios” (Christians
 ) and “Mourisqueiros” (Moors) compete for a miraculous image of St. Jo
 hn the Baptist. The exuberantly dressed participants add colour\, rhythm a
 nd fun to the festivities. In honour of the saint\, there are also shows a
