Former granary – Museum centre
The granary (Casa da Tulha) belonged to the Monastery of Arouca and was used to keep the rents paid to the convent. It is now part of the Vale de Cambra Municipal Museum and it is located in the parish of Cepelos. An inscription dating from 1760 indicates it was built in the 18th century. The Casa da Tulha often hosts workshops for children organised by the Municipal Museum’s Educational Service, as well as various cultural activities such as the Old Market and the Iberian Music Festival, events organised by the City Council together with local associations.
