This architecturally peculiar building can be traced back to the so-called “Brazilian house”, so characteristic in Maia, with a central, crenellated turret, identical to Nazoni’s Baroque towers. The construction of sloping roofs and mansards is of Alpine influence. The estate consists of a mansion, a threshing floor with a house, garden and cultivation area. It dates from the 19th century.
The Quinta da Caverneira belongs to the Maia City Council. Following an agreement with the Art’Imagem Theatre, it is used for its theatrical activities, with regular theatre programming that includes shows, training and exhibitions.
