Animar 21 opens on March 7th, 2026, with a programme dedicated to animated cinema, centred on an exhibition that includes several interactive installations developed from animated films: "Porque Hoje é Sabado", by Alice Eça Guimarães; "Percebes", by Alexandra Ramires and Laura Gonçalves;"Cão Sozinho", by Marta Reis Andrade; and "Amarelo Banana", by Alexandre Sousa; as well as an exhibition of objects from the Clia Anilupa studio. The programme includes guided tours, workshops, film screenings and other parallel activities at the Vila do Conde Municipal Theatre and partner schools.
