António Domingos – First impressions
In First Impressions, António Domingos develops a body of work situated between photography and painting, based on the observation of architectural surfaces transformed by time and use. By isolating fragments of walls, doors and windows, the artist removes them from their functional context and transforms them into minimalist compositions that border on abstraction. Industrial materials such as wood, metal and concrete are treated as plastic matter, evoking the logic of the ready-made. (...)
