Maurício Soares' work focuses on animal life in its ecological context. His knowledge of the world is organised around characters that have already taken him thousands of kilometres to planned encounters, using the arrivals or departures of animals in their life cycles as his compass. Birds dominate the exhibition, a tribute to the neighbouring exhibition celebrating Palestinian photographers. But other species have been called upon to prefigure the natural world: all are connected, we are all connected, and the imbalance of some compromises the balance of all.
