It has undergone various interventions and was enlarged in the 1920s. The devotion to Nossa Senhora da Conceição on the part of the parishioners of Sobrosa continues to this day, with a brotherhood dating back more than 400 years and novenas held before the feast of the Immaculate Conception on 8 December.
