Located in the centre of Valongo and open to the public since January 2022, the Oficina da Regueifa e do Biscoito (Valongo’s “Regueifa” and Cookies Workshop) is dedicated to collecting, preserving and exhibiting objects and memories linked to baking as a centuries-old activity in the municipality. This cultural facility aims to pay tribute to the soul of Valongo and highlight one of the municipality's hallmarks: bread and biscuits. From the moment you enter the Workshop, you embark on an interactive and audiovisual experience through the history of the baking sector in Valongo, from the moment the land is worked to plant the cereal until the final product reaches the customers' homes, with the help of the tour guide or by consulting the interactive devices, not to mention the 3D video, a short documentary and a hologram. 10:00, 15:00 – School groups | 18:30, 20:00 – General public - Guided tour of the exhibition, culminating in the “Hands-on” experience 18:30, 20:00 – Guided tour of the Senra Mill Free admission Activities with limited capacity.
