Built between 1953 and 1959, the Municipal Market of Santa Maria da Feira was designed by Fernando Távora, a key figure in modern Portuguese architecture, and is classified as a monument of "public interest" by IGESPAR, affirming its national relevance and its deep roots in the collective imagination of the region.
