The ballet "Don Quixote" by CBCL - Companhia de Ballet Clássico de Leiria, is full of liveliness and emotion - it is a comic story with a great happy ending. Based on episodes from Miguel de Cervantes' "Don Quixote de La Mancha", it alternates between a strictly realistic and popular nature and the world of fantasy and dreams: alongside the common people, bullfighters and gypsies, we find the ingenious nobleman; popular dances, fandangos, seguidillas and boleros are joined by ensembles, variations and pas-de-deux typical of classical and romantic choreographic language.
