The exhibition presents a selection of drawings made by António Jorge Gonçalves in 2020–2021, in white pencil on black notebook pages, published in the books "Desenhar do Escuro" (Drawing from Darkness) and "Desenho de Luz" (Drawing from Light). Between urban scenes, domestic interiors and natural landscapes, the artist draws in negative, bringing images out of the darkness. The white pencil does not mark contours, but suggests presences and atmospheres, as if each black page were a space where the drawing is revealed little by little.
