The Maia Forum, designed by renowned architect José Carlos Loureiro, was inaugurated on 1 June 1991. Located in the heart of the city of Maia and designed from the outset as a space for cultural enjoyment for all, the Maia Forum includes an outdoor auditorium with a capacity for around 300 people. This space offers high-quality acoustic and logistical conditions, allowing for the presentation of leading artistic performances. The Lidador Tower, built 101 metres above sea level and measuring 92 metres from base to top, is currently the 5th tallest building in Portugal and the tallest outside Lisbon. It is visible from any of the ten parishes in the municipality, as well as from neighbouring municipalities.
