Hugo Lobo is considered one of the most promising jazz pianists in Portugal. Born in S. João da Madeira, this young pianist and composer will be presenting a brand new show at Novembro Jazz, following an auspicious debut with his trio at Casa da Criatividade in 2024. For this concert, Hugo Lobo has put together a quintet to premiere his latest work of original music and some compositions that fit in with the concept of this project. He seeks to strike a balance between avant-garde thinking and the tradition of American music.
