Russian artist Arkadiy Ivashkin, who left his country because he disagreed with Russia's invasion of Ukraine and has been living in Portugal, presents the exhibition I (don't) see an elephant in the room, which is part of the Cooperating Artists Programme of Árvore - Cooperativa de Atividades Artísticas. The expression "elephant in the room’" which exists in various cultures, refers to an obvious truth that everyone perceives but avoids naming. I (don't) notice an elephant in the room, by Arkadiy Ivashkin, transforms this metaphor into a spatial device for confrontation.
