Leida was conceived by Mariana Dionísio to function as an 8-voice instrument. Each piece is a set of parameterisation and limitation premises that consequently make them sub-instruments. It is on these sub-instruments that they improvise or interpret the pieces she has written. In partnership with artist Varvara Tazelaar, they now present an immersive show, designed for Casa da Criatividade's Novembro Jazz, which will take place at the Centro de Arte Oliva, where the relationship between sound and visual illusions will be explored.
