Settled in two old paper factories from the beginning of the 19th century, paper is still produced in this museum, either by hand, at the former “Engenho da Lourença”, or industrially at the “Casa da Máquina”, where the whole production process can be accompanied. Besides this permanent exhibition, visitors can also admire the Watermarks collection and a set of pieces that came from different paper factories in the country.
