“Oxymoron, Between Solstices and Equinoxes” is a theatre performance about bipolar disorder. Drawing on the impact of real-life testimonies, we created and perform situations that could take place in parallel fictional worlds. Here, more than characters, it is feelings and emotions that are represented. This is because the universes created by bipolar disorder are deeply personal worlds of emotional extremes. And it is between these inhospitable places of euphoria and depression that those who live with the disorder seek to find balance. We imagine each situation in the performance as a poem about this illness.
