The long-term exhibition at the Royal Customs - Shipbuilding Museum has recently been renovated to include new content dedicated to 16th-century wooden shipbuilding, trade and navigation, with a special focus on maritime activity originating in and destined for Vila do Conde during the 15th and 16th centuries. New technologies are used to allow visitors to immerse themselves in the 16th century through urban or navigation routes.
