Zapping exposes the language of the media through the confrontation between the technological and cultural impact of television and its reflection and instrumentalisation as counterculture in artistic practices. The exhibition is structured around five themes that mark major turning points in the history of television's socio-technical interactions: Frontier, Resolution, Reception, Colour and Memory. This project is promoted and organised by the Oliva Art Centre, with the support of the Portuguese Network of Contemporary Art.
