The Unknown History of Valongo’s Black Stone

Three medium-sized houses, built using traditional slate working techniques, house a reconstruction of a miner's house and the collection and documentation related to slate, from its extraction to the various types of processing. In the corridor that connects them, you can travel back in time from the formation of the slate more than 300 years ago to the present day, through a historical review of the most important facts in the history of Valongo's black stone.
