Continuing the dissemination of personalities and facts from Maia's history conducted by the Maia City Council History Office, we’ll be presenting António Dias Teixeira. António Teixeira was a footballer who stood out in the colours of Futebol Clube do Porto. He was the scorer of the goal in Torres Vedras that made the “blue and white” champions in the last minute, in the famous Calabote case championship. In the mid-1950s he moved to Maia with his family, becoming attached to the land.
