emmy Curl
Emmy Curl, born and raised in the high mountains of Vila Real, brings to life the ancient Trás-os-Montes and Celtic folklore melodies, which remained forgotten for a long time. The artist is dedicated to valuing and respecting the Portuguese cultural heritage, incorporating the modern side and her style of interpretation into the complex rhythmic and harmonic layers of these traditions. Emmy Curl releases her new album “Pastoral 2.0” in September 2026, a disc that continues her research work carried out with “Pastoral”, launched in 2024 and winner of the José Afonso Prize.

The Furniture Museum is a new cultural facility in the municipality of Paredes and is housed in the Monastery of Santo Estevão, in Vilela, a building listed as being of Public Interest. This building is a landmark in the history of the municipality and of the parish of Vilela itself, owing to its ancient origins, which predate the founding of Portugal.
