“Elas voam, elas dançam” (They fly, they dance), which aims to blend the movements of folk dances and European dances —a trend that has been growing in recent years—with traditional Celtic music, alternating between original compositions and the traditional repertoire of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Portugal. Let us dance and fly, as the poet Maria Teresa Horta wrote.

In São Pedro Fins, at the highest point in the municipality of Maia, Monte de São Miguel-o-Anjo is much more than just a superb viewpoint overlooking the surrounding area. It is a place where landscape, heritage, spirituality, tradition and collective memory converge. At its summit, the Chapel of São Miguel-o-Anjo bears witness to a history deeply rooted in the community. The hill once served as a sort of “lighthouse” for the fishermen of Matosinhos, who used it as a landmark on their return from fishing and would celebrate São Miguel-o-Anjo here, giving thanks for his protection.
