The best new cinema from around the world is coming to Espinho. The FEST - New Directors | New Films Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary with a memorable edition from 24 June to 1 July 2024. The festival, which claims to be a beacon for the cinema of the future, presents a carefully curated selection of films, with national and international premieres, in competition and in parallel sections. Stories about women or told by women feature prominently throughout the programme, with many female directors present during the week in Espinho.
