Who are the "hideous men"? Ugly, disgusting, monstrous creatures? Or ordinary people we meet every day, at work, in transport, in cafés, at home? Patrícia Portela's new creation, a solo performed by Nuno Cardoso, is based on the book Brief Interviews with Hideous Men (1999), by the American writer David Foster Wallace, to confront us with those moments when we are caught tolerating a system that we so actively condemn.

The São João National Theatre regrets to inform that, for reasons of force majeure, it has been forced to postpone the premiere of the play Homens Hediondos, by David Foster Wallace, performed by Nuno Cardoso and directed by Patrícia Portela, first scheduled for 20-30 June.
