Sasha, aged and longing for his son, lives tormented by the noise that comes from outside, locked inside his home, windows sealed against fear. To him, there is always the sound of a piano — a constant musical drift he loves and dreams of, yet feels oppressed by, as it never ceases. His wife and sister-in-law, striving to survive the war, ration what little they have from day to day and hope for the ceasefire to come.
