The Verazin Quartet, the resident ensemble of the FIMPV since its creation in 2007 by the Associação Pró-Música, returns to the Romanesque Church of S. Pedro de Rates with a programme that brings together two contrasting musical worlds: Ludwig van Beethoven and Dmitri Shostakovich. In the pure acoustics of the Romanesque church, the dialogue between luminous classicism and 20th-century drama takes on a rare intensity and intimacy.
