Late Baroque music lends itself to iconoclastic reinterpretations. Against this backdrop, the radio.string.quartet, a group of musicians based in Vienna, reimagines the European musical tradition through the works of two canonical composers, Johann Sebastian Bach and Antonio Vivaldi. The virtuosity and imagination of the 18th century set the tone for the irreverent work of a string quartet with a unique approach. Viewed through a contemporary lens, the quartet expands and transforms the repertoire, adapting it to new media and contexts.
