Tonight the Symphony Orchestra presents the monumental Romantic Symphony by Anton Bruckner - one of the most unique figures of late-romantic symphonism. Premiered in Vienna in 1881 under the baton of Hans Richter, the symphony immediately achieved resounding success, which would not prevent numerous revisions by the composer in the following years.
