The Shoe Museum kicks off its 10th-anniversary celebrations with a programme by artist Xavier G-Solís, featuring workshops, public interventions and a retrospective. The highlight is the project “Shoeing: Sapacarros”, in which worn-out shoes, transformed into remote-controlled vehicles by Footwear Design students, come to life in a performance. The initiative uses the fusion of shoes and cars to critique consumerism, ostentation and manipulation in contemporary society.
