Tchaikovsky's work returns to the Sala Suggia on an afternoon when women's music is given the prominence it has so often been unjustly denied throughout history. Marking International Women's Day, the concert is conducted by Ustina Dubitsky, assistant conductor of the Cologne Gürzenich Orchestra, and features soloist Yeol Eum Son, who has achieved worldwide renown since winning silver medals in the Tchaikovsky and Van Cliburn competitions.
