As part of the Open Air Library project, the Library is promoting the show "Tribute to Carlos Paredes". A master of the Portuguese guitar and a brilliant composer, Carlos Paredes was one of the greatest figures in Portuguese culture. He is primarily responsible for the dissemination and popularity of the Portuguese guitar and is known as the "man with a thousand fingers". Author of unforgettable themes and interpretations, he recorded several CDs and performed all over the world with a wide variety of artists. On his centenary, a tribute show will be presented with Luísa Amaro and Nuno Dias on Portuguese guitar and Jorge Baptista da Silva
