Through a series of symbolic and evocative examples, the exhibition, presented in 2024 at Trakošćan Castle in Croatia, offers a glimpse into the spiritual, intellectual and cultural world of the women who lived for centuries within the walls of the Cistercian monastery of Arouca in their most varied roles, from Queen Mafalda Sanches to various abbesses or even the maid of the last nun.
