The cycle that Casa da Música is dedicating to Tchaikovsky's concert works throughout 2025 kicks off with the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra. Written in 1878, when the composer was recovering from a heartbreak, it was the only concerto he wrote for the instrument and is considered one of the most demanding in the violin repertoire. The performance will be given by Hungarian soloist Júlia Pusker, who returns to the Casa da Música after the great success of her tour as ECHO Rising Star.
