dois,pois
There is two of them, an accordion and a battery. Between the curves of the buttons and those of the timbalons, the polyrhythmias create rhymes. Now it's the bellows that strike, now it's the pump that shoots harmonies. It is the dialogue or the rhythmic conflict between the two, with electronic music mediating. Sonia Sobral and Gonçalo Garcia – two (dois), of course (pois) - dare to interpret the ideas of young Portuguese composers. Their language is (yet) unknown, of course.

Located on Rua D. Hugo, the building that houses the Guerra Junqueiro Museum is a fine example of nineteenth-century civil architecture, commissioned by Domingos Barbosa, canon in the Porto Cathedral. Opened in 1942 as a reconstruction of the writer’s final residence, the museum was closed between 1992 and 1997 for restoration and extension works, as part of a project designed by the architect Alcino Soutinho. In 2017, as part of the project to modernise and enhance the municipal museums, it underwent work by the architect Camilo Rebelo. It is currently closed to the public whilst its exhibition layout is being refurbished.
