In the year we are celebrating 10 years of Villa Sessions – Vila do Conde Blues Festival, we wanted to create a special moment outside the festival’s usual dates. A concert that would embody what we continue to believe in: closeness, authenticity, great stories and music that needs no artifice to come to life. Our choice fell on Doug MacLeod (USA), one of the great living legends of acoustic blues. Winner of nine Blues Music Awards, including five for Acoustic Artist of the Year and four for Acoustic Album of the Year, he brings with him more than four decades of a life dedicated to the blues.
