This exhibition - which is the result of a selection of objects from the exhibition “Identity. From the Coat of Arms to the Póvoa Sweater”, opened in December 2022 - aims to highlight the history and evolution of a garment that has become, over the last few centuries, one of the identity symbols of the inhabitants of Póvoa de Varzim. Numerous examples of sweaters, experiments by designers and artisans, serve to show that a traditional garment can evolve and present new interpretations.
