More info
The Parish Church of Espinho, designed by the architect Adães Bermudes, is a large Neo-Romanesque building. The tower is incorporated into the façade and there are numerous round arches above the openings (doors and windows). It is a building comprising several architectural volumes: the main façade; the pentagonal volumes, which correspond to the Baptistery and the former mortuary; the nave; the transept; the chancel; and the sacristy and annexes. The varying heights of the different elements result in a staggered arrangement of volumes that are interconnected and subordinate to one another.
